Communion Evenings of
Ukrainians and Vilnius residents

Project "Making the cultural heritage of the Augustinian complex meaningful through artistic interventions and creative workshops"

Together with VšĮ Ramintoja, we organized a series of events – Communion Evenings of Ukrainians and Vilnius residents. Communion evenings are designed to make it easier for Ukrainians fleeing the war and staying in Vilnius to get involved in the Vilnius community and feel more comfortable in the new environment.

The project funds are intended for the organization of creative-artistic workshops and cultural events for Ukrainian families in the building of the Church of St. Virgin Mary of Consolation. Cultural meetings and lectures were organized (various thematic lectures, film screenings, excursions), as well as creative-artistic classes for people from Ukraine, in order not only to involve them in community activities, thus strengthening the connection and communion, but also to get them acquainted with Lithuanian culture, history, architecture, encouraging participation in joint initiatives and, at the same time, finding new solutions to emerging complex situations. There were 14 meetings held once a week for up to 4 hours a day.

Organizers:

VšĮ Ramintoja and Lithuanian Social Innovation Cluster.

Project was partially funded by Vilnius city municipality.
